Assignments: Placeholder Tool

Follow

You can create a placeholder in your calendar in order to reserve a specific slip or mooring for specific dates. (Example: you have a yacht club coming in but they haven't all made reservations yet so you put a placeholder down for a number of moorings/slips next to each other). In order to create a placeholder, follow the instructions below.

  1. Click into your Assignments page from the left hand menu of your Dockwa account.
  2. In your calendar, choose the plus button next to the mooring or slip number you'd like to create a placeholder on.
  3. This will open up a small screen where you can select the start and end date and create a placeholder note (reason for placeholder or name of boat who will be creating a reservation).
  4. When you've entered the information you want, don't forget to click the green "save" button on the bottom of the screen!
  5. This placeholder will then show up in blue in your calendar and display the text that you put into the note section. *Please note: You will need to make a separate placeholder for each mooring/slip you'd like to show up in the calendar.*
