How to Create a Dockwa Deal

This guide walks you through the steps to create a Dockwa Deal and the key details you’ll need to provide.

Step 1: Navigate to the Create Dockwa Deal Page

To create a new deal, go to the Dockwa Deals section in your marina’s dashboard and click "Create New Deal."


Step 2: Enter Deal Details

You'll need to fill out the following fields:

1. Coupon Code

  • Create a unique coupon code that would represent the deal.

  • Example: SAVE_20

2. Discount Percent

  • Enter the percentage discount you’d like to offer.

  • Example: 20%

3. Apply To

  • Choose whether the discount applies to dockage, fuel, or other services.

  • Example: Dockage

4. Internal Description (Optional)

  • Add a private note for your marina staff about this deal (not visible to boaters).

5. Reservation Nights

  • Choose the date range when boaters can use the deal.

  • Example:

    • Starting Date: 03/20/2025

    • Ending Date: 03/25/2025


Step 3: Set Optional Constraints

These optional fields allow you to further customize the deal:

1. Expiration Date

  • Select when the deal will expire, meaning it will no longer be bookable.

  • Example: 03/26/2025 at 11:59pm MDT

2. Global Limit

  • Set a maximum number of times the deal can be used across all boaters.

3. Boater Limit

  • Set a maximum number of times each individual boater can use the deal.


Step 4: Write a Boater-Facing Description

  • Provide a short promotional message (up to 250 characters) that boaters will see when browsing deals.

  • Example: "Save 20% on dockage at [Marina Name] from March 20-25! Limited availability—book now!"


Step 5: Choose a Publish Date (Optional)

  • If you want the deal to go live on a specific date, enter it here. Otherwise, it will be published as soon as it’s approved by Dockwa.


Step 6: Submit the Deal

  • Click "Create Deal" to submit your promotion.

  • Your deal will go through a short review process before being published on the Dockwa Deals page.
