Customize Your Emails to Match Your Marina’s Brand

Make your emails feel like you by adding your logo, social links, and branding.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Dockwa offers a set of customizable email templates that can be automatically sent to boaters based on key interactions—like reservation confirmations, reminders, and asking a boater to review their stay after departure. You can personalize these to reflect your marina’s branding and voice.

Accessing your Custom Email Template Settings:

First, choose the Emails option from the Account dropdown menu on your Dashboard:

Then, Click Setup in the upper right corner of the Templates page:

Adding your Logo and Social Media Links:

  • To upload your logo, please click Choose Image underneath the From email address fields to upload your image.

  • Social Media links can be added in the Social Links section further down on the page.

Your logo will display at the top of an email, and social links will show in the footer of the email.

We do not recommend changing the From Email Address unless you are an advanced user, familiar with making edits to your domain settings. Changing this setting will cause email deliverability issues to your customers if not done correctly.

Advanced users can find further instructions on how to update their domain correctly, here: Setting Up DKIM, SPF, and DMARC for Dockwa Automated Emails

Changing the content of a Template:

Click Edit on any of our pre-set Templates to get started.

Banner Text/Image:

  • Banner Image will display an image below your logo at the top of the email.

  • Banner Text will add a text overlay on top of the image.

Tokens:

Any text in brackets is known as a "Token." This will automatically pull information into the email based on the Token used.

For example, the {{RESERVATION_ENCODED_ID}} Token will populate the boater's specific reservation ID into their email. {{MARINA_PHONE}} will pull the marina phone number listed in your Public Profile settings.

  • Clicking View Available Tokens in the upper right corner will show a list of all Tokens that can be used to pull information into your emails.

Once all edits are complete, click Save and Preview in the top right corner of the page to save and review a live version of your email.

Want to start fresh? Click the Reset Default Template option to revert all edits back to the base template setup.

Enabling Email Sending:

To begin sending your emails to boaters, simply toggle the email On in the Email Template overview page.
