Step 1: Access the Edit Layout Screen
On the Point of Sale screen, select the Manage button.
Choose Edit Layout to start customizing your layout.
Step 2: Add a Quick Key
In the layout editor, you'll see several empty squares labeled "Add New."
Select one of these squares to add a new Quick Key.
Choose the item or function you want to assign to this Quick Key.
Step 3: Create a Nested Quick Key
Nested Quick Keys allow you to group multiple Quick Keys under one overarching Quick Key.
First, add a Quick Key by following the steps above.
To nest additional items under this Quick Key, continue to add items through the search bar to include in the Quick Key group.
You can nest up to 21 items within a single Nested Quick Key.
Step 4: Label Your Nested Quick Key Group
When creating a Nested Quick Key, you'll need to label the group.
Enter the group name in the appropriate field.
Select the Save button to confirm the name.
Step 5: Save Your Layout
After setting up your Quick Keys and Nested Quick Keys, select the "Save and Exit" button to save your changes.
Your new layout, complete with Quick Keys and Nested Quick Keys, is now ready to use!
You can add up to 25 Quick Keys per layout, ensuring that your most frequently used items are easily accessible.
Searching for Items Not Tied to a Quick Key
If an item is not tied to a Quick Key, it can still easily be found by using the search bar in the Point of Sale tool. Simply type the item name into the search bar to quickly locate it.
