How to message a marina

Send and receive messages with your marina before, during, or after your visit.

Change of plans? Have a question? Need to communicate a special request? Dockwa lets you message the marina directly through your reservation or contract.


On the Dockwa Website (Desktop)

  1. Log in to your Dockwa account.

  2. Click on Trips in the top right section or go directly here: https://dockwa.com/account/trips

  3. Use the tabs at the top of the page to switch between Reservations and Contracts.

  4. Select the reservation or contract you want to message about.

  5. Click Message Marina and start typing your message.

  6. Click Send when you're ready to send your message.

  7. When the marina replies, you can:

    1. Tap the “Click to Respond” link in the email notification, or

    2. Return to Trips in Dockwa and respond directly from your reservation or contract.


From a Mobile Web Browser or Android App

  1. Log in to your Dockwa account.

  2. Tap your Name/Initial in the top right and select Trips. You can also go directly here: https://dockwa.com/account/trips

  3. Use the tabs to select Reservations or Contracts.

  4. Tap the reservation or contract you want to message about.

  5. Tap Message Marina and start typing your message.

  6. Click Send when you're ready to send your message.

  7. When the marina replies, you can:

    • Tap the “Click to Respond” link in the email notification, or

    • Open Trips and reply directly within your reservation or contract.


In the Dockwa Mobile App (iOS Only)

  1. Launch the Dockwa app and log in.

  2. Tap the Trips icon at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Use the tabs at the top to switch between Reservations and Contracts.

  4. Find the reservation or contract you want to message about.

  5. Tap Message.

  6. Type your message and click Send when done.

  7. When the marina replies, you can:

    • Tap the “Click to Respond” link in the email notification, or

    • Go back to Trips in the Dockwa app and reply directly from your reservation or contract.


Tips & Best Practices

  • You can message the marina at any point: before arrival, during your stay, after your visit, or during a contract period.

  • Messaging becomes available after you submit a reservation request or inquiry in Dockwa.

  • Monitor your email and Dockwa > Trips. Both will show new messages from the marina, and you can reply in either place.
