Noticing issues logging into Dockwa or pages taking longer than usual to load? You're in the right place. Let’s walk through some easy troubleshooting steps to get things running smoothly again.
Troubleshooting is a way to identify and solve technical hiccups. We’ll help you figure out what’s going wrong and how to fix it—quickly and confidently.
Before You Start: Use Google Chrome
Dockwa works best in Google Chrome. If you're not using Chrome, we recommend switching to it before continuing with the steps below.
Step 1: Log Out and Log Back In
We know—it sounds too simple to be effective. But just like restarting a router, this can often fix minor glitches right away. If that doesn't help, continue on!
Step 2: Make Sure Chrome is Up to Date
An outdated browser can cause loading issues. Chrome usually updates automatically, but here’s how to check manually:
Open Chrome on your computer.
Click the three-dot menu at the top right.
Go to Help > About Google Chrome.
If an update is available, click Update Google Chrome, then click Relaunch.
Step 3: Clear Cache and Cookies
Cached files and cookies can interfere with loading the latest version of Dockwa. Here’s how to clear them in Chrome (iOS example below):
Open Chrome.
Tap the menu icon in the bottom right.
Go to Settings > Privacy.
Tap Cookies, Site Data, and Cached Images and Files.
Tap Clear Browsing Data, then confirm.
Step 4: Run a Speed Test
Your internet connection could be part of the issue. To check:
Open your browser.
Type:
Run a speed test
in Google.Click the Run Speed Test button.
For a smooth experience, we recommend a ping under 300ms.
Step 5: Try Using an Incognito Window
Incognito mode disables extensions and clears session data, which can help isolate issues:
Open Chrome.
Click the three-dot menu at the top right.
Select New Incognito Window.
Or use a keyboard shortcut:
Windows/Linux/ChromeOS:
Ctrl + Shift + N
Mac:
⌘ + Shift + N
If Dockwa works fine in Incognito, browser extensions or stored data might be the culprit.
