Resolving payment issues during your reservation request

Occasionally, payments may not go through when you try to submit a reservation request on Dockwa. Don’t worry- this is usually easy to fix. Below are the most common issues and how to resolve them so you can submit your reservation request smoothly.


Common Payment Errors

If you see a message like:
“Something went wrong – try again or contact support.”

Here’s what to do:

  1. Check Your Payment Method

    • Make sure the card on file is valid and up to date.

    • Expired or canceled credit cards are the most common cause of failed payments.

    • To update your card, go to your Account Settings in Dockwa and add a valid payment method.

  2. Try the Payment Again

    • Once your payment details are updated, retry submitting your reservation request.

  3. Quick Fixes That Often Help

    • Refresh your browser or the Dockwa app before retrying


Promotion-Related Errors

If you’re a Dockwa+ member and trying to use a Dockwa Deal, you may see an error if:

  • The promotion has already reached its redemption limit.

How to fix it:

  • Double-check that the promotion is still valid.

  • If you’re unsure, reach out to Dockwa Support to confirm whether the promotion can still be used.
