Connect an iPad or iPhone to the printer using an Apple USB Cable. If you have an Android Device, you will need a USB-A to USB-B.

Download the Star Quick Setup Utility app from the App Store: ​<a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starmicronics.starquicksetuputility&amp;hl=en_US&amp;pli=1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google Play Store</a> ​<a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/star-quick-setup-utility/id1549088652" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Apple App Store</a>

Touch Select Printer at the top of the App to chose the printer to connect with. ​

1. Connect an iPad or iPhone to the printer using an Apple USB Cable. If you have an Android Device, you will need a USB-A to USB-B.
2. Download the Star Quick Setup Utility app from the App Store: ​<a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starmicronics.starquicksetuputility&amp;hl=en_US&amp;pli=1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google Play Store</a> ​<a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/star-quick-setup-utility/id1549088652" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Apple App Store</a>
3. Touch Select Printer at the top of the App to chose the printer to connect with. ​

Return to the main menu after selecting the printer and select Printer Settings.

Select the new firmware file or Update when prompted.

Once the update is complete you can unplug the phone/tablet from the printer.

1. Return to the main menu after selecting the printer and select Printer Settings.
2. Select Firmware Update.
3. Select the new firmware file or Update when prompted.
4. Once the update is complete you can unplug the phone/tablet from the printer.
