How refunds are handled for expired, cancelled, or compromised cards

Learn how banks ensure you receive your refund even if your card is no longer valid

If a refund is issued to a card that is no longer valid:

  • Expired or Cancelled Card: Your bank will automatically reroute the refund to your new card.

  • Closed Account: The bank will usually redirect the refund to an alternative account or issue a check.

  • Rare Cases: If the bank cannot process the refund, it will be returned to Dockwa. In this case, we will contact you directly to ensure you receive your refund.

Dockwa uses Stripe (stripe.com), a leading U.S. payment processor. Stripe is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified, the most stringent level of security certification available. This ensures your payment information is processed safely and securely.
